Ingredients
2 – 3 carrots
1 tbsp oil
1 – 2 tsp liquid smoke
1 – 2 tsp of Carina’s Secret Mix
Finely chopped dill
Salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Place a piece of parchment paper in an ovenproof dish. Pour salt into the dish. Wash the carrots but leave the skin on. Place the carrots on the salt in the dish. Place the dish in the lower part of the oven and let the carrots bake until they are soft, about 30 – 90 minutes, depending on how big they are.
Remove the carrots and remove any excess salt, then let them cool on a plate.
Mix the oil with the liquid smoke and Carina’s Secret Mix in a bowl or in a plastic bag, large enough to hold the carrots. Peel the carrots. Then cut the carrots into thin slices lengthwise. Put the carrot slices in the bowl or the plastic bag and mix well. Add if necessary, dill. Cover the bowl or tie the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 – 3 hours, preferably overnight, before serving. Garnish with more dill.
Carina’s Secret Mix
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tbsp Syrup
2 tbsp fresh pressed lemon juice
Mix everything.
