I really enjoy the taste of hazelnuts, dates and coconut together. That is why I wanted to make a little treat with these flavors. These balls are sweet, but not too sweet and that suits me perfectly. Enjoy!
Ingredients
3 dl hazelnuts
3 dl pitted dates
½ dl coconut milk
5 dl oats, roasted
2 dl. coconut flakes
½ tsp. salt
Instructions
Roast the hazelnuts at 175°C for about 7 – 8 minutes. Take 1 dl. hazelnuts and coarsely chop them. Mix the remaining 2 dl. hazelnuts in a food processor until you have a smooth hazelnut butter. Add the dates, coconut milk, and salt and blend until smooth. Place the mixture into a large bowl and add the oats, coconut flakes and chopped hazelnuts. Mix until well combined. Form small balls and place on a baking paper covered sheet. Freeze. Allow to thaw for about 10 minutes before serving.
