4 apples
1 dl (½ cup) quick oats
½ dl (¼ cup) brown sugar
2 tbsp margarine
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla sugar
¼ tsp cardamom
Optional custard or ice cream for serving
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Put all the ingredients for the topping in a bowl and mix together into a crumbly dough. Core the apples. Place the apples in a mold and fill with crumble. Bake in the oven until the apples are soft, about 15-30 minutes (the time will depend on the size of the apples and may also vary depending on your oven). Serve the apples warm with custard or vanilla ice cream.
Tip: you can add a couple of tablespoons of chopped walnuts to the crumble.
